Tom Moores Arrives in Nepal to Join Lumbini Lions for NPL

The first foreign player to join the Lumbini Lions for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL), which starts on Saturday, has arrived in Nepal.

England’s wicketkeeper-batter, Tom Moores, arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday night. He was warmly welcomed by the team officials at Tribhuvan International Airport.

Other foreign players in the Lumbini Lions team include Australian star all-rounder Ben Cutting, Canada’s record-breaking all-rounder Saad Bin Zafar, Indian player from the USA Unmukt Chand, and West Indies’ Ramon Simmonds.

Apart from Moores, the other players are yet to arrive. Lumbini Lions will play their first match against Biratnagar Kings on Wednesday at 1:15 PM.

The team’s marquee player is Nepal’s national team captain Rohit Paudel. Along with him, explosive batter Sundeep Jora, and former national team players Bibek Yadav, Arjun Saud, and Surya Tamang are also part of the team.
