Canadian captain Nicholas Kirton has arrived in Nepal to participate in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Kirton, who is signed with the Biratnagar Kings, landed in Kathmandu on Thursday afternoon. He was greeted at the airport by club officials.
In addition to Kirton, other international players contracted to Biratnagar include New Zealand’s Martin Guptill, Oman’s Aqib Ilyas, Scotland’s Chris Sole, and Ismat Alam. However, none of these players have arrived in Nepal yet. The team’s coach, Kevin O’Brien, has already arrived.
Biratnagar’s star player is Nepali national team leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane.
