The grand celebration of domestic cricket, the Nepal Premier League (NPL), kicked off on Saturday. The Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur came alive with a vibrant mix of fans, music, fashion, and film celebrities.
The three-week-long NPL will continue to see the active involvement of celebrities until its conclusion. All eight clubs in the NPL have appointed prominent artists as their brand ambassadors. These celebrity ambassadors, along with other stars, were seen engaging with fans at the cricket ground on the opening day.
The artists have been actively promoting their respective teams on social media and among the audience, creating a lively atmosphere. Notable ambassadors include Rajesh Hamal, Swastima Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Rachana Rimal, and Sandeep Chhetri, among others. Additional artists also made appearances at the venue.
The opening ceremony featured a musical performance by Trishala Gurung, who energized the crowd with her rendition of the iconic “Rato Ra Chandra Surya.” This unique combination of cricket, music, and film will continue to captivate fans throughout the NPL season.
